In the quest to combat cancer, every victory counts. As we came together on 25th August, we celebrated not just the progress we have made, but also the countless lives you helped us save. This is a tribute to our incredible donors who stand by our side, turning hope into healing and transforming lives.
On the occasion of our 12th anniversary, Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation celebrates with a heartfelt Donors Meet, reflecting on more than a decade of transformative healthcare. Over these years, we've treated more than 83,000 patients, with over 35,000 benefiting from free or subsidised care amounting to INR 118 Crores. In the fiscal year 2023-24 alone, we dedicated INR 22 Crores to support treatment, underscoring our commitment to accessible oncology healthcare.
This year, we have been fortunate to inaugurate one more campus, Bagchi Sri Shankara Cancer Centre and Research Institute in Bhubaneswar, Odisha as the next step in our commitment to extending unparalleled, high-quality, and affordable care across India. We are proud to say that we have already treated more than 2,000 patients at this new facility.
During this year’s Donors Meet, we honour our generous supporters whose contributions have been vital in cancer patient care and advancing cancer research. Their dedication and kindness continues to inspire us.
We also inaugurated our new “Sri Shankara Centre for Ophthalmic Oncology” during this year's Donors Meet. Equipped with the latest technology, this department marks a significant milestone as the first & only centre in Karnataka dedicated to comprehensive care for eye cancers. A wide range of treatment facilities are available for eye cancer patients at the Sri Shankara Centre for Ophthalmic Oncology
In addition to these events, we held a prize distribution ceremony to celebrate participants and winners from our Annual Day 2024, recognising their achievements and contributions to our vibrant community.
This year has been a testament to the remarkable progress we've achieved together. From expanding the reach of advanced cancer care to Bhubaneswar to celebrating the dedication of our donors and healthcare professionals, every step forward reflects our shared commitment to improving the lives of cancer patients.
